There are so many parents that find it really difficult to keep up with the constant crying, whining and bickering that kids and babies will do. Babies are a little bit easier to figure out berceuse once the get what they were crying for, they usually stop crying. That has to be one of the most common mistakes new parents make, not being prepared and not reading the signs or paying attention. Make sure your baby is on a strict feeding schedule. Always have a few diapers in every room, in all your vehicles and a few at friends and families houses. If you baby is on formula, prepare a few bottles before you go to bed and keep a few prepared through out the day.
Keeping your baby on a feeding schedule will be healthy for both you and your baby. Once your baby gets used to your feeding schedule you could possibly limit the amount of times you will have to wake up in the middle of the night to feed. It will be a little hard to get started because the baby will cry whenever it's hungry, which could be every 30 minutes or every 15 minutes. The important thing here is to stick to your guns. Eventually the baby will realize that it will not get fed until it's time. A habit will start to for and the baby will often let you know when its time to eat on the feeding schedule you set up.
Diapers, Diapers and more Diapers. You can never have enough of these things and you always seem to be running out. These things go faster than hotcakes at an IHOP. If you haven't stocked up with diapers then you are behind. Not having enough diapers can make you day a living nightmare....and a stinky one to. Your baby hasn't learned to control bowel movements yet and when it has to go it goes. There is not stopping it and the baby will not be able to 'hold it'. So stock up on them so you're not going to the store everyday for diapers. You will also want to keep a few diapers in places where you most commonly are. Such as your car, a friends house, your parents house or another place you go where you might be taking your baby. Face it, your days are going to be a lot more hectic and you are bound to forget things. If these places are already stocked with a few diapers you should have to worry too much.
I know your baby eats a lot. It eats too much and it's no fun getting up at 2am then 3am then 5am to feed your baby. But someone has to do it. It's never fun waking up in the early morning and stagger through the kitchen and try to find bottles, nipples, formula, the light switch....oh darn, wrong order. It's too early for most people and they don't think straight or only think halfway. Make it easier on yourself! Make up enough bottles of formula to last you through the day and then before you go to bed make enough to last you through the night. This will be more helpful than you can image it will save you time, effort and sleep.
